About FASHIONS.NET and the IMAFI:
The Internet Marketing Association for the Fashion Industry (IMAFI) is not a
financial entity in itself, meaning that it has no location or employees. It
functions totally by the individual efforts of its members who share Internet
links. IMAFI is open to anyone in the fashion business, including apparel
retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers. Currently there is no charge
to belong. Inclusion in the IMAFI Fashion Industry Directory requires
only a reciprocal link by way of this icon. 
Q) How does IMAFI help those in the apparel business?
A) It is a proven fact that Internet communities (i.e. IMAFI type Internet portals and directories) are a benefit to those who participate. Some companies make the mistake of fearing competition, and thus avoid sharing links. Contrary to this fear, the sharing of links generates more traffic for everyone involved. The "whole becomes greater than the sum of the parts".

Q) Why should a high traffic web site link up with IMAFI? Won't the high traffic site be giving away traffic?
A) No, even a high traffic web site will gain traffic, but in an even exchange, smaller web sites tend to benefit more than larger ones. This is why IMAFI evens the score by giving the higher traffic members more promotion. It's only fair that those who give more, should get more in return.
Q) How
does the IMAFI make money?
A) It doesn't. IMAFI is a collective effort by and for those in our industry, but it is not intended as a business in itself. It does, however, facilitate commerce for those in the apparel business.
IMAFI is modeled in principle after the highly successful IMASD (for surplus dealers) and is currently engaged in a promotional exchange with IMASD.
FASHIONS.NET is a domain portal for the Internet Marketing Association for the
Fashion Industry (IMAFI). The IMAFI uses this high traffic domain name
for marketing purposes, because the word "fashions" is both descriptive
and easy to remember.
